Report: Chad Daybell's Former Home is Being Demolished by New Owners

The property was purchased by Lori Vallow's niece

The former home of Chad Daybell, who is accused of murdering his wife and two stepchildren, is being demolished by the new owners.

The property was purchased in January by Lori Vallow’s niece, Melanie Gibb. Gibb told EastIdahoNews.com that she plans to build a new home on the lot.

The demolition process began on Monday

The demolition process began on Monday, March 14. Gibb said that the house was in poor condition and that it was not worth saving.

“The house was not in good shape,” Gibb said. “It was not livable. There was a lot of damage to the inside of the house.”

Daybell and Vallow are both charged with multiple felonies

Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow are both charged with multiple felonies in connection with the deaths of Daybell’s wife, Tammy Daybell, and Vallow’s two children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan.

The couple is scheduled to go on trial in May.
