Crystal Palace v Manchester United: Premier League – live

Wilfried Zaha scores as Crystal Palace continue unbeaten run against Manchester United

Manchester United’s winless away run continues as Crystal Palace maintain their unbeaten record against the Red Devils.

Wilfried Zaha maintained Crystal Palace's unbeaten record against Manchester United as Patrick Vieira's side secured a 1-0 victory over the Red Devils at Selhurst Park.

Zaha's first-half strike, his 14th goal of the season, secured all three points for the Eagles, who have now avoided defeat in their last eight games against United.

The result leaves United 11 points adrift of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, while Palace move up to 12th.

United made the brighter start but failed to create any meaningful chances in the opening half hour.

Palace gradually grew into the game and took the lead in the 37th minute when Zaha fired home from close range after Jeffrey Schlupp's cross was deflected into his path by Raphael Varane.

United improved after the break but were unable to find an equaliser.

Bruno Fernandes had a great chance to level the scores in the 65th minute but he fired wide from a good position.

United continued to press for an equaliser but Palace held on for a deserved victory.

Reaction

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira: "We're very happy with the win. We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we were well organised and disciplined." Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag: "We're disappointed with the result. We didn't create enough chances and we didn't defend well enough." Wilfried Zaha: "It's a great feeling to score the winning goal. We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we stuck to our game plan and we got the three points."
