Brooke Makena Van Sickle was born on March 22, 1998, in Hilo, Hawaii, to Gary Van Sickle and Lisa Bragado. Her mother, Lisa Bragado-Van Sickle, is a native of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, where her uncle is the mayor, Joey Warren Bragado.
